It's Spring!
With the weather starting to level out here in Northern Virginia (fingers crossed!), I was honored to book an early Spring session with one of my favorite families in the area! We watched for the weather forecast to avoid the rain, and crossed our fingers for some cherry blossoms, and we ended up with a beautiful day full of blue sky. After scoping out local parks and locales, we took a shot with Ray Murk Sr. Park in Ashburn - an large open area surrounded by trees in full bloom!
I love working with this family - they are down to earth and work well with my shooting style. We take the session as it unfolds, because kiddos can be unpredictable. While I barely cracked a smile with this precocious toddler at Christmas, I was honored with big toothy grins and hand holding this time around! And you can't go wrong with the coordinating outfits. I always recommend simple prints and solids to match - and these saturated maroon dresses went so well with mom's white dress with a bold floral print and dad's solid gray sweater.
The session was full of energy, and with space to get wiggles out, we were able to capture some beautiful spring pictures with greenery, fun flowers (blossoms and some tulips that I brought along), and smiles.
