Puppy Love
Alissa and Kip are expanding their family! For some, this is a sweet time to take a moment and focus on the new little life and the special pregnancy glow. For the Siedlings, our photo session time was really all about Henley - their beautiful white shepherd. Henley has been the baby of the family for a while, and she's going to be a big sister now!
We met at Morven Park in Leesburg, a favorite spot for walks as well as some great space for ball chasing for Henley. We stopped at the Reflection Pool to start, letting Henley get a feel for being on leash rather than free to roam as usual. I'm sure Alissa and Kip though she was misbehaving, but she really did a great job with all the distractions and changes to her normal scene!
We continued along near the Davis Mausoleum, using the space for some candids and a few more casual poses at a nearby bench. Once we finished there, Kip let Henley off-leash so we could do a few of the lovely couple by themselves. Of course, sweet Henley needed to be part of those, too - she didn't want to be left out! I managed to sneak in a few, even while we had a furry friend nosing her way in when she could. She quite clearly loves her mom and dad! The stairs near the boxwoods and the more festive iron gate were our last posed options, and then we went out to the field across the way for some additional casual and candid sets. I did take a few photos of Henley with each individually as well. Henley was LOVING the space, and once she caught sight of her ball, the game was up. Her spotlight over, we wrapped up our time together.
While this narrative may seem like it was a family pet session, we really did focus on posing for maternity - that little babe is on the way! I'm so excited for this family to welcome another member, and for Henley to become a big sister. Congratulations, and I hope to catch up with you once you have a new little life joining you! Happy Holidays.
