Stone Family - Hope Fall Fundraiser
Star of the Show
As sessions were coming to a close for this fall's Hope for Grieving Families fundraiser at Lake Fairfax Park, I had the honor of meeting the Stone family - mom, dad, teenage son, and a very excited little pup! With a lovely blend of colors for their outfits (even the dog's harness), and some smiles at the ready, we started in a small area off to the side of the main trail.
I took notice early on of the easy-going smiles and joviality of this family. Dads and boys do not usually want to have their photos taken, and pulling out a genuine smile can sometimes be quite the task, but not this time! As Keith worked on calming down Archie (the family dog), I snuck in a few of just Tracy and her son, Dylan, and some of Dylan by himself, too. The family members took turns trading off with Archie for some of the groupings, and then we let him in on some family photos!
Archie was the star of this show - have no doubt. He's clearly all about Keith, and the two of them together are just so heartwarming! The amount of energy in this mini goldendoodle is astounding. His tail was going 90 miles an hour from the get go, but he wasn't going to let Keith out of his sight for a moment. Of course, I took a few photos with just Archie and "dad," too. In the end, this little fluffball had won my heart and even sat still for a few photos all alone!
It was such fun to work with this family. To see the joy and love they share (there was some good-natured ribbing), and the outcome in these photos is what makes my job so wonderful. I hope you enjoy these memories, and thanks for letting me share some laughs with you all! Happy Thanksgiving.
