All the Lovely Ladies

This November, I partnered for a second time with Hope for Grieving Families - a local non-profit that supports and connects families with children - with a photo fundraiser. I love the local focus and their emphasis on connection and fun for these families who've lost a close loved one. These fundraiser sessions help support this work, and my first family for the afternoon was this set of three lovely ladies!

We started along the lake at Lake Fairfax Park, mixing up the groupings a bit and letting Cocoa (the adorable pooch) get used to me. Everyone shared smiles as we chatted between poses, and I got to know that of the two teenagers, one is here as an exchange student! She's here from France for the school year and already has a built in friend with her host family's daughter. With that in mind, the groupings included her as well as some without. The same went for the four-legged girl - some with, some without (or just cropped out!) to give lots of options - and to give each person a break from trying to reel her back in for the group poses.

I loved the casual smiles that each lady brought to the session, an ease that allowed me to pose, get smiles, and move between locations at the park so well! While Cocoa spent her time looking at everyone else at the park, I had a wonderful time chatting and working with each one (and we did take individual photos of everyone, too!).
