Uschock Family Session

Winter Wonder

So much excitement is wrapped up in the holiday season - especially when little ones are involved! The Uschock Family came to me from a Facebook recommendation, and when Rachel saw that my style matched what she was looking for, we started planning for a time and outfits. We met up at Claude Moore Park in Sterling, VA. as it offers a nice variety of "non-holiday" but still seasonal places to take family photos. We avoided anything purely green or green/red, and instead the family opted for a navy/beige/ivory theme.

My favorite part of this session was taking the little one's individual photos. Four is my ALL TIME fave in terms of ages of children to photograph. There's tons of personality; I can pose like an adult, but in a small form, it's always cuter. This four year old was chock full of faces, energy, and excitement. I caught all of the silly faces and got to watch a terrific set of parents interact with him during the session. There were pretend jungle walks with lions, talks about dragons and Christmas presents, and the little chatter that comes with four years of age. Just check out some of these faces!

I'll be honest: this session was FUN. Along with the normal family photos (which I love taking), some individuals, a few different poses... I got to take some shots for the family to share a pregnancy announcement. Talk about excitement...! Rachel came with some ideas, which were good and not crazy or complicated Pinterest ideas - phew! So we snapped some with just mom and dad, some with just the kiddo, AND some with the whole family. Adorable, joyous, and so sweet!

I'm so excited for the Uschocks to add to their sweet family - another little love to add to the fun! I hope this Christmas season is full of extra joy, a very excited little boy, and a family looking forward with eager anticipation. I look forward to working with you again and seeing your family grow!
