Fall, Family, Furry Friends
I consider it a privilege to be welcomed in to client's homes. Lived in, sacred spaces, places where you are uniquely you without other influences. A place of family, comfort, and safety. I was honored to share.a bit of space with the Gallagher family this November at their beautiful home. An updated family picture was requested, and home was the easiest for the family. With a warm day ushering me there, I traveled to them, and arrived to warm greetings.
The modern home was full of light; big windows and light furniture gave a warm and easy-going ambiance. I took photos of the couple together first, both in the living room and on the front porch, with a lovely maroon door as a backdrop! It was clear that these two are crazy about each other - I didn't have to prompt for a quick kiss photo at all! Once we finished these (a happy couple makes posing and capturing smiles easier), we "unleashed" the next set - adding in their fur-babies - two beautiful golden retrievers who were full of energy!
We took everyone out to the back porch, and with the coaxing of everyone and a bag full of treats, we got started. The deck was beautiful with mums and furniture, and there was enough color in the background to make these fall portraits pop. While the two pups were definitely more interested in my camera, belly pets, and snatching treats, we managed to get some lovely photos of everyone all together.
It was an honor to be welcomed in, and to be trusted with capturing images of everyone together - all 12 feet, even if most didn't have shoes on! Thank you for letting me in to your home, and I hope these are lasting memories for your family!
