All Together
Claude Moore Park was my preferred location for The Mom Co fundraiser sessions this fall - options, space, and lovely fall colors. When Erica signed up for one of these mini sessions, she let me know straight away that her two boys would be hard to capture together. I took this to heart, being a boy mama myself. Erica and Johan led the family along one of the trails in the park, and we started out with a whole family pose, knowing this might be a brief window.
Sure enough, mamas know their kiddos. The two oldest boys had lots of energy, ready to run off and play at any moment. That said, with some silly prompts, dad tickles, and the promise of candy, we had plenty of time to capture all sorts of great photos of the family! Everyone together, each parent with the littlest baby girl, the girls together, the boys together, and even all three kiddos. Sometimes, though the session may seem messy, stressful, or all over the place, these are the ones that offer beauty and genuine glimpses into your family. The tickles? You can't buy a smile like that. Not everyone looking at the camera? Totally ok, because the chubby cheeks stand out, and we all want to remember those baby cheeks. Boys running around in between poses? That's real life - and it's good and true.
I had so much fun with this family. Erica and Johan - you are raising three wonderful kids who are curious, happy, and good. I hope these photos bring you smiles, and thank you for letting me join you for a short time to capture the love you all share.
