Milestone Birthday Session - Banerjee Family

Celebrating with Family

So often, I get requests to do "milestone" sessions - typically when little ones and kids hit certain stages or months or years. That first birthday session is usually the big request. This session, however, was a bit different. Instead of celebrating a child's birthday, mom got the family together to celebrate HER milestone birthday! As returning clients, this was a special sort of photography session, and it was so much fun!

I was warmly welcomed into their beautiful home to set up in the top level with lots of open space. While everyone finished getting ready, I put up a backdrop and studio lighting, prepping the space. We started with family pictures - mom with her twin kiddos, and her brother with his wife and child, learning quickly that antics and giggles were going to be the name of the game. We did individual family photos, some of just kids, individuals, and.- of course - the birthday girl by herself. (Her headshots are beautiful... such a classy woman!). There were so many giggles, inside jokes, silly songs, and laughter in this 60 minute session! It was a pleasant way to both do my work and capture memories at the same time. The smiles in these images say it all!

At the very end, I captured a few photos of mom and her twins just in the home with some beautiful natural light. It was a calm and gentle way to end the session, and I am so excited to share the full gallery soon. Happy birthday, and here's to many more!
