Endless Energy

I often wonder how life unfolds for my clients in the weeks, months, or years that pass after a session together. The best news is when I hear back with a request for another session! I was thrilled to get a request from the Upadhyaya family for a family session, since I had the pleasure of working with their firstborn son for a milestone session last fall, and mama was pregnant.

We set up at a family home with a beautiful sunroom and a large yard beyond. With a quick move of some furniture, space was opened up to capture a few images of the whole family together - a feat for a family with both a 3 month and 20 month old! As the oldest has found his energy and speed, having everyone in a frame looking and smiling was the order of the day.

Two sets of baby feet wearing soft gray sneakers shown side by side against a light background.
Tiny baby hands resting on mama's arm in a cozy blue sweater.
Close-up of hands holding a toddler wearing blue denim, with soft natural lighting through a railing outdoors.
A small child holds hands with two adults while walking together on a paved path in a green garden setting.

We tried a few different poses with the family together, adjusting and accommodating for the needs of the littles. Standing, sitting on a bench, and even playing together on the floor. Thanks to some distractions from the grandparents, we were able to get a few sweet images of this loving family.

As a surprise for the oldest at the end, a brand new Cozy Coupe was unveiled and taken for a spin in the driveway - a classic tradition! I took a few photos of this momentous occasion, and caught a few moments between mom, grandparents, and the kiddo, too. All in all, it was such a pleasure to work with these repeat clients, and had the joy of seeing the little one growing up and his new (to me) baby brother!
